Apetitul negării

                           


De-aş fi mai înfocat în nihilism, mi-ar fi cu putinţă - negînd totul -  să mă scutur de îndoieli şi să le birui.  Dar nu am decît apetitul negării, nu şi harul ei.


If I should be more ardent in my nihilism, I could be able - denying everything - to get rid of doubts and defeat them. But I  have only the appetite of denying, not its grace.

Cei care au puterea să se roage

                         


Nu-i pizmuieşti pe cei care au puterea să se roage, în vreme ce eşti plin de invidie faţă de posesorii de bunuri, faţă de cei care cunosc bogăţia şi gloria.


You do not envy those who have the power of praying, while you are full of envy before the goods owners, before those who have wealth and glory.

Omul modern

                         


Omul modern, mai mult decît omul dintotdeauna, priveşte cu linişte în jos. Faţă de cer, toate idealurile noastre sunt trădări.


Modern people, more than people of ever, is quietly  looking down. Before heaven, all our ideals are betrayals.

Golul inimii

                     


Golul inimii în faţa golului timpului : două oglinzi reflectîndu-şi absenţa faţă-n faţă, una şi aceeaşi imagine a nimicniciei.


The emptiness of the heart before the emptiness of the time : two mirrors reflecting their absence face to face, one and the same image of nothingness.

Consolare

                              


Pe nimeni nu-l poate mîngîia în agonie gîndul că toţi sunt muritori, precum în suferinţă nimeni nu va găsi o consolare în suferinţa trecută sau prezentă a altora.


Nobody can be comforted in agony by the thought that all the people is mortal, as in suffering nobody will find a consolation in the past or present suffering of the others.

O intensitate negativă

                     


Faţă de materie, viaţa prezintă un avantaj de intensitate. Tot aşa boala faţă de viaţă, cu diferenţa că ne aflăm în prezenţa unei intensităţi negative.


Compared with the matter, life presents an advantage of intensity. Same way the ilness compared with life, with the difference that we are in the presence of a negative intensity.

O dezertare din faţa realităţii

                             

Utopia este o dezertare teoretică din faţa realităţii. Defectul utopiilor este că au încercat să elimine din viaţă ceea ce are ea mai durabil, tragedia.

Utopia is a theoretical desertion before reality. The fault of  Utopia is trying to remove out from life what it has most  lasting, namely the tragedy.
